“Blue Sailing Vessel”
Handmade paper vessel. Hull and sail made from abaca pulp. Sail dyed with pigments, stitched with threads. Hull cast in plaster gauze, paper formed over gauze. Hull painted with layers of acrylic washes. Surface of hull sanded between each layer of acrylic wash, found pieces of driftwood on hull.30 inches high x 42 inches wide x7 inches deep
